We have been waiting all spring and summer to find the next great Yorkshire boar to add to our lineup. Well what we found in Louisville was worth the wait! I only needed to see him take about five steps into the ring before I realized Commander was the one that needed to come back to Southern Gold. He is so powerful coming at you with that huge chest and his big, wide skull. Commander is so thick and square from the ground up and all the way down his top and back. He has a huge rib cage, deep center body, an incredibly level hip, and the rump is unbelievable. I haven’t had this kind of feeling about a Yorkshire boar since Hot Wired at last year‘s Expo. This guy needs to be put on a lot of females. Commander will be leading the charge into the next generation of winners.
